The European brand, Orange, has created a commercial using deepfake VFX technology, editing the women's football game by the French national team to look like the men's game. The goal of the advert was to showcase that the women's games are just as (if not more) exciting to watch as men's. And it was very influential.
It is a different format from what my project is, but the goal is related. It showcases the bias some have towards women in sport and highlights the absurdity of it. As in my project, I also want to highlight the laguage bias in the field, the commercial by Orange was a big inspiration for some visual critique, thinking about what situations women are put in, but men would never be.
