Sports shops intsalation research

During my exhibition research for installation methods, I went to sports shops.

I found very interesting binoculars in New Balance, through which people can watch a video about a product. Unfortunately, not something I could do as a student, but it could be a very interesting way of showing an issue that is hidden and is not paid attention to. Not many people have actually looked inside the binoculars in the shop, which creates an irony of its own, whether anyone would decide to care and pay attention.

Another decoration I discovered were the basketball court parts drawn on the wall, which I planned to do in the exhibition before changing the format. (See project progression crits 23rd of March 2026).

I want to use a variation of runnin track lines, such as these in the exhibition by printing them and putting them on the floor. In the shops, it always lets people see the items in the setting they would be used in. For the exhibition, letting people step on it and engage with the track, it has an immersive aspect to it. (See project in practice > project stage #10).

I took a picture of this locker room as a reference to what it could look like, although I am unlikely to use such an aesthetic for my exhibition.
